Hideyoshi Toyotomi Anecdote4
Hideyoshi who assumed the ash of the wooden statue ashes of Nobunaga
On June 2, 1582, Nobunaga Oda is told to have killed itself in a Honnoji temple of Kyoto by a rebellion of Mitsuhide Akechi who is a vassal.
However, the corpse of Nobunaga is not detected.
Mitsuhide Akechi went to the instinct temple which he was burnt by a fire the next day, and became the ash which attacked an instinct temple, and it is said that he searched the corpse of Nobunaga.
The desperate search of Mitsuhide was empty, and the corpse of Nobunaga was not detected.
■The whereabouts of the corpse of Nobunaga?
Where has one corpse of Nobunaga gone to?
About this, there are various opinions, but somebody of the aide to Nobunaga carries it out during night, and it is thought that they covered it somewhere.
Did you not bury it in secret in a mountain without putting up the gravepost for a war-torn country military commander because it was a disgraceful thing that a neck was defeated by the enemy general so that it was not discovered?
In addition, there is the opinion which a Buddhist priest called Sansa which showed Go in front of Nobunaga on Honnoji temple day carries a corpse to the temple of Suruga and buried.
However, Nobunaga gave oneself with "a demon king", and it may be said that it is such a mystery appropriate for Nobunaga whom he told "to worship it like God".
■Though there is not it despite ashes
By the way, the corpse was not found, but Hideyoshi held a funeral service of Nobunaga.
In Daitoku-ji Temple in Kyoto, it is still the place with the grave of Nobunaga.
Though there is not the corpse, Hideyoshi made a coffin and put a wooden statue of Nobunaga in that, and it is said that he bake this and did the ash with ashes.
Therefore the ashes in the grave of Daitoku-ji Temple will be ash of the trees.
A person of an anti-Hideyoshi party doesn't attend this funeral Hideyoshi did at all, and it seems to have been Hideyoshi's complacent funeral in essence.
Hideyoshi seemed to want to appeal to the world by holding a funeral service of Nobunaga on a large scale when a successor of Nobunaga was oneself.
