Shingen Takeda

Shingen Takeda was born as worth country protection, heir of the Takedas in Kaigenji.

1533 (in the days of 13 years old)
Shingen married a daughter of Oogigayatsu Uesugi present head of a household, Tomooki Uesugi.

A honest woman of Shingen, a daughter of Tomooki Uesugi died because of a difficult delivery.

1536
The Takedas was allied with the Imagawa family of the Suruga country.
Shingen was married Lady Sanjō.

1537
Shingen went to the Shinano country Saku county for a first campaign according to father (Nobutora Takeda).
Shingen perform an Uminokuchi Castle attack of the Shinano country Saku county alone and win on this occasion.

1538
Eldest son, Taro were born. (Yoshinobu Takeda)

1541 (in the days of 21 years old)
Shingen expelled Nobutora Takeda who was famous father by misgovernment with Nobukata Itagaki and others in the Suruga country and became the present head of a household for 17 generations of the Takedas.

Shingen made a daughter of Yorishige Suwa a concubine.

Yoshimoto arranged a marriage between his legitimate son Ujizane and the daughter of Ujiyasu HOJO (Hayakawadono), tying his family to the Takeda clan as well as the Hojo clan, and formed the Ko So Sun Sangoku Domei (alliance between three provinces; Kai, Sagami and Suruga) (this negotiation is also called the 'Tripartite alliance of Yoshimoto IMAGAWA, Ujiyasu HOJO and Shingen TAKEDA').

When Oda Nobunaga fells Imagawa Yoshimoto in the competition in Okehazama, Shingen has begun to break Dreibund and invade to Suruga country Imagawa family.

For the preparation to Echigo country Kagetora Nagao (Kenshin Uesugi), Shingen constructed a castle in Kaizu Castle (Matsushiro Castle) in Hanishina-gun.

By a war of the fourth Kawanakajima, Nobushige Takeda who served adjutant general in younger brothers was killed in action.
And Morozumi Masakiyo and Kansuke Yamamoto and others have been killed in a battle, too.

Shingen subjugated the Suruga country which invaded and attacked by combination operation with Ieyasu Tokugawa in the Suruga country at one time. Shingen crashed into Hojo who is a kinsman of Imagawa afterwards in the Suruga country.

1569
Because Ieyasu Tokugawa was allied with Ujiyasu Hojou, Shingen left Baisetsu Anayama for Yokoyama castle and retired from a soldier.

Because Ujiyasu Hojou was allied with Kenshin Uesugi, it is invaded and attacked via Ueno country to Musashi country, the Sagami country.
Shingen raided Odawara-jo Castle, but it solved a siege in four days without falling and left for the Kai country.

Shingen won in the Hojo military which he attacked from the Musashi country by way home, a war of the Mimase Pass of the Sagami country.
It was a chance to withdraw Hojo from the Suruga country.

1570
Shingen annexed the Suruga country which withdrew of Hojo.
He ruled over Ueno country, Totoumi country, Mikawa country, Mino country, a part of the Hida country other than worth country, Shinano country, Suruga country by these days.

1572
Shingen who worried for rise of Nobunaga Oda started a visit to the capital war in response to an appeal of Yoshiaki Ashikaga by 30,000 big armies.
He defeated Ieyasu Tokugawa by a war of Mikatagahara and went to the west.

1573
A chronic disease turned worse (there was a divergent view that it was shot with a gun), and Shingen stopped a march.
Shingen died a regretful death in Komaba of Shinano country Ina on the way to a Kai country.

Ieyasu Tokugawa

Ieyasu Tokugawa, warlords through Azuchi Momoyama period from the Sengoku period.
It is said one of the Sengoku Period of the three heroes.

Ieyasu was born as the Mikawa country Okazaki lord of a castle, the eldest son of Hirotada Matsudaira in 1542.
Ieyasu spent it as a hostage of Yoshimoto Imagawa of the Odas and Suruga country of the Owari country from about 1547.
Ieyasu became the Matsudairas present head of a household while being in Sunpu by death of Hirotada Matsudaira of father in 1549.

1560
Ieyasu played an active part in the visit to the capital war of Yoshimoto Imagawa as a van.
He entered a fortress triggered by Yoshimoto Imagawa having been defeated by a war of the pail interval by Nobunaga Oda in Okazaki Castle of the hometown.
He was opposed to the Odas of the Owari country afterwards.

Ieyasu refused a visit to the capital order from Hashiba (Toyotomi) Hideyoshi afterwards.

Hashiba (Toyotomi) Hideyoshi became a Kampaku.

Ieyasu was married Asahihime sister of Hideyoshi Toyotomi.

Hideyoshi Toyotomi sent his mother into Okazaki Castle of Ieyasu.
By a substantial hostage plan of this Hideyoshi, inquiry had the honor of being you in Osaka　Castle and became a subject of Hideyoshi Toyotomi.

1590
Ieyasu played an active part in the later Toyotomi political power as the first on the list of five senior Ministers.

Hideyoshi Toyotomi died in 1598.

After the death of Hideyoshi , Ieyasu was done the marriage of feudal lords who each other was prohibited.
Because Ieyasu received impeachment from Toshiie Maeda and Mitsunari Ishida and others, about this, he was opposed.
Toshiie Maeda who fought against each other died of illness.

Ieyasu entered a fortress to Fushimi Castle and performed state affairs.

There was the Ieyasu assassination attempt case by Toshinaga Maeda and others.

Ieyasu planned a Maeda attack of the Kaga country, but solved it because mother of Toshinaga Maeda, the House of Matsu went down as a hostage in the Edo.
 (As a result, the Maeda became the subordinate of the Tokugawa)

On the pretext of a rebellion of Kagekatsu Uesugi, Ieyasu went to the Aizu attack with many generals.
Ieyasu became victory, a one who reigns over the whole country by a war of Sekigahara in the west military.

Ieyasu opened the Shogunate in the Musashi country Edo and became a commander-in-chief.

Ieyasu handed over post of commander-in-chief to Hidetada Tokugawa and became a Leading figure

It changed from Edo-jo Castle to Suruga country Sunpu-jo Castle.

Ieyasu gave Christianity ban.

Hideyoshi Toyotomi

Hideyoshi Toyotomi , warlords through Azuchi Momoyama period from the Sengoku period.
It is said one of the Sengoku Period of the three heroes.

He was born in Owari (current Aichi Prefecture) in 1537.

It is not known clear that with respect to origin of Hideyoshi.
It is said that Yaemon Kinoshita who is father was a common soldier or a farmer in Owari.

Hideyoshi ( around 18 years) in 1554 began serving Nobunaga Oda Owari.
He took care of a position proactively and gave big result.
It distinguished itself in Oda's influence gradually.

In 1561 I was married (25 years old) Nene (Kitanomandokoro - Koudaiin).
Hanbei Takenaka in Mino country is received into a strategist in 1566.
He was embedded with a visit to the capital war of Nobunaga in 1568.

I participated in conquest in Echizen country in 1570, but he was betrayed by Nagamasa Asai in Omi country.
When escaping, Hideyoshi served as a rear guard.
The other generals who despised Hideyoshi with an easily elated person reconsidered him at this time, too.
He participated in the war of Anegawa.

He bore the name of Hashiba from these days (he had born the name of Kinoshita before this).

Hideyoshi took an order of Shibata Katsuie's reinforcements of Hokuriku area district army and went in 1577.
However, as for Katsuie an opinion retreated selfishly without fitting,
Nobunaga got furious.

In 1582, Hideyoshi knew the Honnoji-Temple Incident and made up his mind to defeat Mitsuhide Akechi who take revenge of Nobunaga.

Before knowing Nobunaga's death in Mouri army which was a foe then, he made reconciliation negotiations succeed, and went to Kyoto.
And he let Mitsuhide Akechi fight by a war of Yamasaki.

By this meritorious service in war, He raised an influential voice in the Odas and held initiative.

Hideyoshi constructed a castle in Osaka-jo Castle in 1585.
Hideyoshi became the kanpaku who was the vassal's highest rank.

These days, Hideyoshi begins a land survey (behind called Taiko kenchi) in various places.

Hideyoshi was given Toyotomi family name from the Imperial Court which became Dajoudaijin(Prime Minister) in 1586(at the age of 50 years old) .
He moved to Jurakudai built to Kyoto in 1587, and political affairs were performed.

In 1588 he introduced 'Katanagari' (sworn hunt) and promoted it in a large scale.
1589 to the concubine Chacha(Yodo-dono) is , gave birth to heir.(Sutemaru)

The Odawara Castle attack was performed in 1590 and Ujimasa Houjou was made to kill oneself. 

Ujinao Houjou was banished to Koyasan.
At this time it made Date Masamune of the Mutsu country who participated in the battle of Odawara a subordinate.

The Japan whole country was unified.

In 1591 (Hideyoshi at the age of 55 years old)
Tsurumaru(Sutemaru) who was a legitimate son made it young and died.(3 years old)
Hidenaga Toyotomi in younger brothers died of an illness.
Senno Rikyu was made to commit harakiri suicide by Hideyoshi's order. 

The invasion to Korea which passes to the twice in 1592-1597 (the role of the Bunroku and the role of the Keicho) was also counterattacked by Korea and Ming and failed.

Yodo of a concubine bore the second child (Toyotomi Hideyori) in 1593.
Hideyoshi made Hidetsugu Toyotomi of my nephew perform hara-kiri in 1595.

Hideyoshi Toyotomi died in Fushimi Castle in 1598.

Nobunaga's father called a name Nobuhide and was a general likewise.

When Nobunaga was young, he did strange appearance by preference,And a lot of coarse behavior.
Therefore it had a good reputation of a great fool, and there was a person who gets away from Nobunaga for a vassal of Oda family and a clan, too.

Dosan Saito's daughter, Nouhime and political marriage in 1548 year (around 15 years old) Mino country.
He succeeds to birthright by death of Nobuhide in 1551. (at the age of 18 years old)

Nobunaga has killed Nobuyuki Oda of his younger brother who was a root of a Internal troubles in 1557.And Owari was suppressed in the next year.

In 1557,Nobunaga made rapid progress after he killed Yoshimoto Imagawa by a fight of the pail interval.(Battle of Okehazama)

1567 (at the age of 34 years old), Nagamasa Asai and the alliance of the Oomi country.
And younger sister's Oichi is sent to Nagamasa Asai's lawful wife.

He obeyed Yoshiaki Ashikaga and went up to Kyoto by Akechi Mitsuhide's agency.
But Nobunaga banished Yoshiaki Ashikaga and destroyed Muromachi shogunate government actually later.

Nobunaga goes to the Yoshikage Asakura attack of the Echizen country which does not obey a visit to the capital order, but runs back by betrayal of Nagamasa Asai of the Oomi country which is a brother-in-law to Kyoto.
In the case, Hashiba Hideyoshi (Toyotomi) applied for the rear guard personally and made them succeed.

Nobunaga returned to Gifu, arranged armaments, fought around Anegawa of Yoshikage Asakura, Nagamasa Asai and Northern Omi again and won in 1570

Shingen Takeda started a visit to the capital war in 1572.
Takeda Shingen defeats Tokugawa Ieyasu army in the competition in Mikatagahara, and Owari falls in a crisis
However, the crisis was avoided by Shingen Takeda's death due to sickness next year.

Asai Nagamasa was caused committed suicide with, the battle of Odani castle and controlled Oomi country.
Three daughters escaped safely with the Oichi of the younger sister of Nobunaga who had been marrying the Nagamasa.

Nobunaga was great victory in Katsuyori Takeda of Kai country in the war of Nagashino in 1575.
 ( around the time of 42 years old )

The Azuchi Castle construction of a castle was started to Omi in 1576, and it was considered as the castle where a feudal lord usually resides.

He centralized power around Kyoto.
And held other powerful feudal lords in check and led at the end of the world of war disturbances.
But before unifying the whole country on June 21, 1582 Nobunaga was betrayed by Akechi Mitsuhide of a subordinate, and committed suicide at Honno-ji.

Nobunaga was 49 years old.

After this, Hashiba Hideyoshi (Toyotomi) avenged Nobunaga in Yamasaki's war.

And, Hideyoshi succeeded the power of the Oda family, and accomplished the whole country union.

Heisei period

Showa Period

It's called Showa Period in 1989 from 1926.

The depression which started after World War I does not recover.   It went into Showa and became severe.
Furthermore, the Great Depression occurred and social unrest increased increasingly.

This time had the strong power of the military authorities.
The military occupied Manchurian dogmatically and established Manchurian country and this caused the United States and repulsion of the U.K. and withdrew from the League of Nations.

The occurrence of events such as the May 15 Incident (1932)
and the February 26 Incident (1936) indicated that the shadow of war was creeping over the Japanese society of those days.
The China Incident broke out in 1937, and escalated into an all-out war as a matter of practice.

The Pacific War has started in 1941.

Japanese national living a war follows became painful.
The factory and traffic facilities are destroyed and even the productive power became weak.

In 1945, the Okinawa extinction of Japanese military.
Moreover after an atom bomb was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan surrendered unconditionally.
